Your first appointment will include a full dental examination, an assessment of your teeth and gums and an evaluation of your overall risk of tooth decay and gum disease.
We will advise you on what treatment you may need, as well as carry out any necessary and agreed procedures. We listen carefully to all our patients, to understand what they want and then give them advice on all the treatment options available with a full breakdown of costs.
Dr Luke Charnley qualified from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne in 2011. Being originally from a livestock farming family near Skipton, he returned to North Yorkshire after graduation and has worked in the local area since. Luke enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and has a particular interest in restorative dentistry. Luke purchased Malpas House Dental Practice in 2015 with his wife Dr Ruth Black who is also a dentist at Malpas House.
Dr Ruth Black qualified from the University of Liverpool in 2011. Ruth is originally from Leicestershire but came to work in North Yorkshire after graduation and also owned her own dental practice near Lincoln until 2018. Ruth enjoys all aspects of general dental practice and has a particular interest in restorative dentistry. Ruth owns and manages Malpas House Dental Practice alongside her husband Dr Luke Charnley who is also a dentist at Malpas House. Ruth founded and directs Malpas House School of Dental Nursing which aims to bring new individuals into the profession by delivering the NEBDN Dental Nursing Diploma. Dr Daniel Curry qualified from the University of Leeds in 2004. Daniel joined the team at Malpas House Dental Practice in 2016 having previously worked for 10 years in Ripon and aims to provide high quality dental care in a relaxed and friendly environment. Daniel lives near York with his wife and three children.
Dr Parvinder Nijjar qualified from Charles University in Prague in 2015. Parv is originally from Wolverhampton and soon after graduating moved back to Ingleby Barwick where he still lives. Parv enjoys all aspects of general dentistry but particularly cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics and dental implants. Parv has completed an MSc in Dental Implants from the University of Salford. He finds it incredibly important to get to know his patients to achieve the best outcomes for them and especially enjoys helping anxious patients through treatment.
